Morocco will shift to regular GMT time by September 1st, 2008, a communiqué of the Moroccan Ministry in charge of modernizing Public sectors announced on Friday.

Rabat - Morocco will shift to regular GMT time by September 1st, 2008, a communiqué of the Moroccan Ministry in charge of modernizing Public sectors announced on Friday.

    Morocco shifted to daylight time (GMT +1) as of July 27. The decision of pushing the clock ahead one hour was meant to alleviate the impact of the soaring energy bill of the north African country and save energy.
