Ninth "Printemps Musical des Alizés" festival kicks off in Essaouira

The 9th "Printemps Musical des Alizés" festival kicked off Thursday in Essaouira (south), bringing together talented musicians from many countries.

    The four-day festival, which gained world fame, has preserved, over the years, its liveliness and consistency, President of the festival and King Mohammed VI's advisor André Azoulay told MAP on the sidelines of the festival.

    Music has never been neutral, Azoulay said, rather, it always conveys messages and values. "This festival is a meeting of tolerance and understanding."

    Fans of classical music will enjoy performances presented by distinguished musicians, including The Anches Hantées Quartet band and El Joven Coro De Andalucia ensemble.
