The Moroccan Sovereign said he learned of the air disaster, which has claimed many victims, with "deep grief and emotion."
He also voiced strong condolences and sincere compassion to the victims' families and wishing quick recovery for the injured.
At least 153 people are believed dead after a Spanish airliner bound for the Canary Islands crashed and broke into pieces while trying to take off from Madrid's Barajas airport.
