King receives phone call from Palestinian president

King Mohammed VI of Morocco, chairman of Al-Quds Committee, received on Sunday a phone call from Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas.

Rabat - King Mohammed VI of Morocco, chairman of Al-Quds Committee, received on Sunday a phone call from Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas.

    The phone conversation touched on the latest developments in Palestine, in the light of the talks President Abbas had recently with U.S. president Barack Obama.

    On this occasion, the king reiterated Morocco's ongoing support for the Palestinian cause and its permanent readiness to contribute to the efforts meant to reach a comprehensive solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict (...) with a view to establishing an independent and fully viable Palestinian state, with Al-Quds Al Sharif as its capital.

    The two leaders also pointed to the paramount importance of pursuing Moroccan-Palestinian talks in the light of the key developments in the Middle East region.
