Casablanca - The Moroccan Ministry in charge of the Moroccan expatriates (MRE) and Morocco's flag carrier Royal Air Maroc sealed, Monday, a partnership under which Moroccans living abroad will benefit from preferential tariffs.

The tariffs will be set as of this summer to encourage Moroccan expatriates' tourism in the kingdom.

The ministry will also carry out surveys in order to identify the MRE's demands and expectations in this area.

The RAM will support the ministry's social actions aimed at the MREs by granting low tariffs to transfer remains as well as special tariffs for the pilgrimage.

Regarding the cultural aspect, the flag carrier will support the ministry’s actions to organize cultural events, seminars and study days in Morocco along with language visits organized to the kingdom for the benefit of the MRE’s children and youth.

The partnership aims at fulfilling the MRE’s expectations and reinforcing their attachment to their homeland, said Moroccan minister in charge of Moroccan expatriates.

Mohammed Ameur commended the role the MRE play in the kingdom’s economic and social development in various fields.

As part of actions to be carried out, the minister announced that a summer university will be organized and a network of cultural centers will be set in the host countries.
