Morocco, Libya to enhance cooperation in religious affairs

Ways of further bolstering Moroccan-Libyan cooperation ties in the field of religious affairs were at the heart of a meeting held here Tuesday between Moroccan minister of religious affairs, Ahmed Taoufik and a Libyan delegation from the department of religious affairs.

   The two parties stressed the importance of unifying stands regarding various issues related to religious affairs' management, religious guidance programs and religious discourse.

   They also pointed to the need to exchange religious scholars and participate in the seminars, religious meetings and psalmody events to be organized in either Morocco or Libya.

   These talks were held on the sidelines of the 3rd meeting of the Moroccan-Libyan joint commission of religious affairs, which kicked off in Rabat.
