Chamakh, best African player in Ligue 1, French Radio
Paris - The Morocco international Marouane Chamakh was chosen best African player in the French premier football league, Radio France International said on Tuesday.
"It is logical: Chamakh (…) achieved his best ever season with 13 goals, and 6 decissive passes," the French radio said on its website, adding that English clubs are targeting the Moroccan striker, who led Bordeaux to their sixth Ligue 1 title.
Chamakh, who could remain at Bordeaux, outranked Senegalese players, Mamadou Niang and Souleymane Diawara, who play in the French clubs of Marseille and Bordeaux respectively.
